Recruitment Coordinator

Recently awarded the No.1 Best Large Company to work for in the UK, we are looking for a Chef Recruitment Advisor to join our People Team at Hickory's Smokehouse.  

As our Recruitment Advisor, you will be an integral part of our recruitment team, supporting the Human Resources & Operations Teams in attracting fresh talent to the business. Lateral thinking, creativity and thinking outside the box are all key attributes for this position.

With a primary focus on Back of House management positions, you will be responsible for talent attraction, organizing interviews/trials and support our candidates right through to offer and onboarding! Pace is essential within the Hospitality Sector; you’ll need to move quickly to ensure our timeframes are competitive. The position will support our People Team in our continual growth, to help innovate the recruitment process, structure and experience from both our side, and the candidate's journey.

This opportunity will suit someone that has worked in a recruitment focused role previously.

Experience within Hospitality is desirable.

This is a hybrid role, which will include a blend of working at our Chester HQ, in our restaurants and working from home.

Recruitment Advisor Duties will include: 

• Manage the process from application to offer. 
• Drive attention to detail and ensure all information is correct. 
• Assist recruitment by coordinating interviews, following up with candidates, and scheduling with restaurant managers and our operations team. 
• Proactive use of our ATS, with responsibility for advertising, refreshing and recruitment spend.  
• Responding to applications and queries as appropriate. 
• Creation of job adverts and campaigns on social media, job boards and local marketing. 
• Serve as point of contact for candidates and hiring managers in ad hoc requests. 

What You'll Need to Succeed as a Recruitment Advisor: 

• Ideally, come from a Recruitment background, and understand the importance of attracting and maintaining talented individuals in our industry. Creative thinking is essential, and you will have to be proactive by nature and resilient (glass half full). 
• 12 months experience in a fast paced recruitment role. 
• Knowledge of candidate sourcing and the use of social media, job boards and other recruitment tools.
• Be highly organized and able to work both proactively and reactively if priorities change. 
• Experienced with conducting both Video & Face to Face interviews as well as organizing “Open Day” events to maximize our candidate pool. 
• Commercial awareness and lateral thinking. 
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. 
• A keen eye for detail. 
• Empathy and emotional intelligence.
